My approach is to travel lightly, make use of public transportation when possible (or walk on foot!), avoid buying things I don’t actually need or won’t use while traveling, and always carry a reusable bottle.
I also make sure that I dispose of my litter properly when traveling. These are small steps, but they can really add up to make a difference. Plus, when you take small steps, you inspire others to take small steps as well.
